Bina Cita Utama school

Bina Cita Utama school is a National Plus School in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The name ‘Bina Cita Utama’ means ‘building excellent ideals’ or to nurture ideals, hopes and ambitions. Bina Cita Utama is the first ‘National Plus’ in Central Kalimantan, and is the first school in the province to use English as the primary language of instruction.
The Indonesian principal, Dr Gunarjo, a physics professor from the University of Palangka Raya, teaches math and science to the High School students. Karsten MacDonald, with ten years experience as an educator in Australia, is the Principal Counterpart. He also is the Primary School Coordinator and teacher trainer. 

History 
BCU School opened in Rungan Sari in July 2005 with 28 students. The majority came from Palangkaraya and surrounding areas, while some of the children were from the international community in Rungan Sari.
Time line: 2003 – 2005 : The school was a home tutorial centre with 12 students. 2005  : The school officially opened to the public as a registered school with 28 students. 2008  : In July 2008, the school year started with 52 students from Grade 1 up to Grade 12.
2010 – 2011 : Today the school has 81 students from Grade 1 – 12.
